What is the Entrust.net Seal?

The Entrust.net Seal is licensed to Web sites that use Entrust.net digital certificates to enable the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to secure communications between Web browsers and the Web site.

How do web sites qualify to use the Entrust.net Seal?

In order to qualify to use the Entrust.net Seal, an applicant must first submit an application form and certain information to Entrust.net Inc. ("Entrust.net") or a local registration authority (LRA). This information is then checked according to the procedures and criteria set forth in the Entrust.net Certification Practice Statement which can be viewed at www.entrust.net/CPS (the "Entrust.net CPS"). If the information is confirmed according to the procedures and criteria established in the Entrust.net CPS, Entrust.net will issue an Entrust.net digital certificate to the applicant and grant the applicant a license to display the Entrust.net Seal on the Web site on which the applicant installs the Entrust.net digital certificate.
